FLORENCE, Ala. (WAFF) - The City of Florence is upgrading the sound system at the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum using a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

The nearly $50,000 Creative Place Enhancement Grant is paying for new sound equipment at the coliseum. The new system is designed to improve the experience for performers, presenters, and audiences.

State arts leaders said the grant program is intended to strengthen creative spaces and expand access to arts and cultural experiences across Alabama.
