LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Workers at Limestone County's popular Greenbrier Restaurant celebrated the news of the new Polaris facility planned for the area and the prospect of a new wave of business.

"It's a great thing. It gives people a chance to make a living." said Chef Derrick Stewart.

Workers there have been waiting to see some of the big developments in the Huntsville area spread to their neighborhood, after a series of tantalizing false starts.

"Over the years we've heard different stories about different people coming through." said manager Carrie Amerson "Volkswagen, That was kind of a letdown so I'm really hoping to see this one pull through."

Locals said they've already seen he vivid effects of new business development, like when the new Target distribution center moved in near the interstate.

"We had all of their construction guys, management, and all the big dogs coming in to oversee everything." said Amerson "Their truck drivers come through here a lot, their delivery guys, they tend to send down a lot for lunch so that helps our business."

Workers at the Greenbriar said their doors are wide open to any new business neighbors and they hope to get their message to them.
