Afternoon sunshine and comfortable 60s Monday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Good Monday morning and happy Presidents Day. Skies are generally cloudy to start the day with mild morning temperatures in the middle 40s to lower 50s.
Some areas of patchy fog are possible early today, but should not be widespread or too dense in nature. Early clouds will move out quickly leaving us mostly sunny for much of the day, high temperatures are comfortable in the middle 60s. Cloud cover will begin to push in late tonight into Tuesday morning and lows stay cool in the middle 40s by daybreak. Tuesday will bring some peeks of sunshine early before the clouds start building in for the afternoon, high temperatures stay just shy of 70 degrees.
Wednesday is overcast but still warm as highs hit 70 degrees. Some periods of drizzle or light sprinkles are possible through the day Wednesday. Thursday could bring some scattered showers with higher chances for rainfall arriving Thursday night into early Friday.
Friday is still mild for this time of year with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
We are watching a cold front that is scheduled to come through over the weekend, models are inconsistent with the timing and rainfall potential so please keep checking back for the latest forecast.
