Man dies after being hit by car in Henagar

HENAGAR, Ala. (WAFF) - A man was killed after being hit by a car in Henagar.

Henagar Police Chief Randell Smith said the accident occurred on Bellview Road near Broad Street and AL-75 at 7:15 p.m.

Authorities said the man was pronounced dead on the scene, and the driver stayed on scene and reported seeing the man walking in the road in dark clothing and could not see him.

Chief Smith said no charges will be pressed on the driver.
