Kentucky man arrested following Fort Payne bank robbery

FORT PAYNE, Ala. (WAFF) - A Kentucky man was arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Fort Payne.

The robbery happened on September 9 at the PNC Bank in the downtown area.

Police said 62-year-old Mark Loveless was charged with first-degree robbery. He allegedly got away with $3,000 in cash during the robbery.

Loveless was arrested without incident by FBI Task Force Officers from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

“I want to thank our officers for their swift response to the robbery and our investigators for their diligence in resolving this case quickly. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the FBI Birmingham for their prompt assistance and hard work as well,” said Fort Payne Police Chief David Davis.

Loveless is being held in the Pulaski County Jail pending extradition to Fort Payne.

He might also face federal charges related to the robbery.
