Groundbreaking ceremony held for Tollgate Greenway Project

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A new greenway is breaking ground in Huntsville.
The Land Trust of North Alabama and city leaders gathered to kick off construction of the Tollgate Greenway Project on Monte Sano.
The 1.2 mile paved path will connect the Land Trust’s Bankhead Trailhead with a closed section of Bankhead Parkway.
The greenway will give walkers, runners, and cyclists a safe, scenic route and expand access to nature for people with limited mobility.
Construction is expected to wrap up next spring.
