Hands Across Decatur will open ahead of Saturday’s severe weather

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - Hands Across Decatur will open as a storm shelter ahead of Saturday night’s severe weather.
Founder and Executive Director of Hands Across Decatur, Sue Terrell, said they will open their doors in anticipation of the severe storms forecasted for overnight on Saturday.
They will open at 9 p.m. and doors will close at 10 p.m. They will determine if they will remain open on Sunday depending on the weather.
Hands Across Decatur plans to open up earlier than 9 p.m. if the anticipated storms are scheduled to come earlier on Saturday.

Terrell also said the Final Four Basketball games will be on inside the building.
Hands Across Decatur is a non-profit charity empowering the homeless and those in crisis with an avenue to self-sufficiency.
