Nurse charged with abuse of 96-year-old Florence patient

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - A nurse was charged with mistreating a 96-year-old nursing home patient in Florence.
Authorities said 27-year-old Lebarbara Deshay Currin, of Pulaski, Tennessee, was charged with elder abuse and neglect.
The alleged abuse happened in August at Glenwood Nursing Home. A report said the patient had a bruise on her arm and multiple knots on her head.
Florence police said a FBI task force located Currin this month and arrested her.
She has a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 27.
