Radio host levies allegations against city councilman

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A tense moment broke out at the Huntsville City Council meeting after a local radio personality made accusations against a council member.

During the public comment portion of the meeting, radio host Dale Jackson presented allegations against council member Will Culver regarding Culver's former position at Calhoun Community College and the college's expansion plans. When Jackson's allotted time ran out, he asked for more. Culver insisted his time not be extended.

Culver said he was offended the accusations were brought up in a public forum. He then excused himself from the meeting. Culver said he will seek legal counsel on the matter.

Jackson said he plans to bring the issue up again at the next council meeting.
