Tracking device discovery leads to Athens man’s arrest in stalking investigation

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A routine trip turned unsettling in early March when a victim discovered a tracking device on their vehicle and reported it to the Huntsville Police Department, launching a stalking investigation.

Investigators identified Jermaine Antwon Knowles of Athens as the suspect and secured an arrest warrant. But for nearly three weeks, officers couldn’t locate him.

That changed early Tuesday morning, when the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office stopped Knowles and transferred him to Huntsville Police so the warrant could be served. He was later released shortly before 9 a.m.
