HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Good Monday morning. After two weeks of active January weather, we finally have a pretty quiet stretch ahead for this week.

Skies are cloudy this morning with chilly temperatures in the 30s as you head out the door. The breezy northwest winds will make things feel even colder this morning. A few snow flurries can be expected in parts of NE Alabama and Middle Tennessee early in the day. Cloud cover will slowly start to clear out by late morning into the afternoon with high temperatures reaching the middle to upper 40s.

Clear skies and calm conditions overnight will allow areas of dense fog and freezing fog to develop by daybreak Tuesday, this will likely have an impact on your morning drive to work and school. Tuesday is going to be a warmer day with highs reaching the upper 50s thanks to a breezy southwest wind and some sunshine. A weak clipper system will move through late Tuesday and will bring a slight chance of seeing some light rain showers across the area.

Colder air will follow the clipper system with Wednesday’s high temperatures staying in the upper 40s. Thursday and Friday are similar days with variable cloudiness and seasonal temperatures in the middle to upper 50s. It looks like we will bring in chances for isolated to scattered rain showers by the weekend with temperatures staying near average in the 50s.
