'Shake and bake' meth lab found in parolees' home

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Two people were arrested after Lawrence County investigators say a meth lab was found inside their home.

During a state probation home inspection in Trinity, authorities found a one pot style meth lab inside the home of 27-year-old Jada Sherrill and 28-year-old Joshua Wayne Pittman, both of Trinity.

Drug agents found the "shake-and-bake" style lab inside the home along with meth-making ingredients.

Sherrill and Pittman were charged with first degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and one count of felony possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into the Lawrence County jail.

Since they are repeat offenders, Sheriff Gene Mitchell says bond has not been set and their probation has been placed on hold.
