HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A fast food restaurant has teamed up with a young boy to raise money and awareness about the need for a diabetic alert dog.
Chick-fil-A, at the corner of University and Wynn Drive in Huntsville hosted a spirit night at the restaurant tonight.
They teamed up with 10-year-old Dylan Lancaster, who wants to raise $45,000 to buy three diabetic alert dogs.
He needs a diabetic alert dog and so do two of his classmates at Harvest Elementary.
"It's not just about me having a dog. I think everyone in the diabetic community and the world should have a diabetic alert dog," said Dylan.
A certain percentage of the dinner rush went toward his fundraiser. Dylan raised about $200.
