HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A mini bike and a car were involved in a wreck on Fairacres Road near Thurman Road.
Police said two people were on the mini bike, one an 18-year-old.
"I heard a loud boom and I turned around and saw one guy laying in the road and another guy scrambling to help the guy up, and he was calling his name trying to get him to get up," said witness Terry Childress.
The 18-year-old was taken to Huntsville Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The passenger was unharmed.
"It was like something you see in a horror movie," Childress said.
The person in the vehicle was not injured.
Police have not determined the cause of the wreck, but they set up a crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim is listed in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.
