Investigators are searching the home of a woman found dead in the trunk of her car at DeKalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne of February 4th.

Shirley Sumrall was reported missing by her family after she never returned from a shopping trip to Gadsden.

She was found dead the next night and up until now, the murder case has seemed to be at a standstill.

We've just learned Frasier Sumrall, Shirley's husband, is being questioned by the Marshall County Sheriff's office in connection with her murder.

Law enforcement from Marshall and Dekalb Counties arrived at the Sumrall home on Eagle Point Road just before three this afternoon.

We're told Frasier Sumrall did consent to the search and agreed to be questioned.

Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls is not calling him a suspect at this point and they say he is being cooperative.

They say they're searching the home as part of the investigation because that has not been done yet.

The department of forensic sciences is also on the scene and the search should last well into the night.
