What's inside Redstone Gateway?
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Outside Redstone Arsenal's Gate 9 sits one of Huntsville's newest mixed-use development-Redstone Gateway.
Corporate Office Properties Trust and their partners Jim Wilson & Associates announced that the development will house six to seven restaurants, two hotels, a conference and dining center, and office space geared towards government contractors and research firms, and a six-acre within walking distance of the development.
Three of the restaurants at Redstone Gateway have already been confirmed:
- Rocket City Tavern is a full service restaurant and bar featuring local microbrews, popular wines and signature cocktails. It offers private dining, as well as al fresco dining within the bar area.
- Fiero Mexican Grill is a fast casual restaurant featuring fresh, handmade Tex-Mex cuisine. Its signature offering are its authentic Mexican street tacos on homemade corn or flour tortillas.
- Dipwich is a fast-casual restaurant featuring French dip sandwiches. Options include Italian beef, chicken, and brisket.
All of the confirmed restaurants are new to Huntsville.
In addition to the restaurants mentioned above, the park will offer a conference and dining center that can be divided into three rooms and can accommodate up to 120 people.
The development currently includes one hotel, a 120-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott. COPT's Director of Asset Management James Lomax said that COPT is in discussion to bring a second hotel into the park and will discuss details when the hotel is confirmed.
Office space at Redstone Gateway is targeted towards government contractors and private entities that support the United State's army, aerospace, and defence industries.
The location provides convenient access to Redstone Arsenal's Gate 9 and is strategically equipped to host out-of-town business working on the arsenal or related industries.
Alongside the 4.6 million square feet of commercial space is a pedestrian friendly greenway that will surround the existing six-acre lake.
The first phase of the development is set to be completed by the end of 2018. However, Lomax sayts the park's master plan call for construction of another 100,000 square feet of retail and food amenities as office tenants in the years coming.
