(WAFF) - Overnight lows will be in the lower 70s with some patchy fog possible in northeast Alabama.
We are watching a cold front that will move into southern middle Tennessee around noon Wednesday. Ahead of this front we will see temperature reach the lower 90s and upper 80s. Storm chances will increase around 1 p.m. and the chance will continue into the evening hours. Overnight showers and storms will remain possible with the frontal boundary in the area.
We expect this front to stall in north Alabama. This will lead to rounds of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday with locally heavy rain possible. This will keep temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Rain chances will stick around into the weekend. Rainfall totals could exceed two inches in some areas through Friday afternoon.
