FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - A Florence patrol unit is back on the road after a near yearlong hiatus.
Four police officers have been assigned to a motorcycle traffic unit as of July of 2019.
Police Chief Ron Tyler said that members of the division had to be reassigned last year due to staff shortages. Now, however, the unit has been reestablished to help deal with a growing number of traffic complaints.
