Huntsville International Airport throwing free concert for 50th anniversary
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville International Airport turns 50 this year, and officials are throwing a party to celebrate.
The public is invited to a free concert and comedy show at the Von Braun Center at 7 p.m. August 25.
The event will feature comedian Joe Zimmerman and music hits from the 1960s through today.
It gives airport officials an opportunity to make their yearlong celebration public.
"This is our way of giving back to our community. We've been trying to get involved and do that all year long. And this is just another way to do that so that everybody can say happy anniversary to the airport right alongside us," said airport spokeswoman Jana Kuner.
The event is free but tickets are required. Click here to get tickets.
