MADISON, AL (WAFF) - Madison police have arrested an identity theft suspect.
On Monday, Police responded to Walmart in regards to a theft in progress. Once on scene, patrol officers found the suspect was also found to be in possession of forged checks, stolen identities and illegally in possession of credit cards.
Detectives continued the investigation and arrested Kesha Stewart of Decatur. She is charged with one count of trafficking in stolen identities, one count of obstructing justice using a false identity, six counts of possession of a forged instrument, and 11 counts of illegal possession of a credit card.
Stewart was booked into the Madison County Jail on a total bond of $210,000.
