GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Guntersville police have arrested a suspect in connection to three murders found on Friday.

The bodies of 74-year-old Marie Kitchens Martin and her 7-year-old great-grandson, Colton Ryan Lee, were found in a home on Mulberry Street. Shortly after arriving, investigators were notified that the neighbor, 65-year-old Martha Reliford, hadn't been seen in over a week. Officers found her body inside her home.

It began as a double murder investigation until police linked Reliford's death to the crime.

Jimmy O'Neal Spencer, 52, has been charged with four counts of capital murder. This includes two separate counts for Martin and Colton, plus a third count for Reliford. The fourth count covers the murder of multiple people in the crime.

Spencer was booked into the Marshall County Jail.

He was last known to be in Franklin County but has been in Guntersville since January.

The body of a missing man, James Michael Baker, was found near the crime scene. Investigators have not determined his death to be connected.
