Jailer charged with helping sneak phone to Marshall County inmate

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Horton man charged with guarding inmates is now facing charges of his own.

Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office arrested Jonathan Mark Foster on Monday, July 9.

The arrest comes after an inmate was found to have a cell phone inside the jail.

Investigators believe Foster, who worked at the Marshall County Jail until last week, played a role in sneaking the phone to the inmate.

Foster has been charged with Promoting Prison Contraband.
