(WAFF) - Crews with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) returned from a trip to Puerto Rico in April.

Five crew members with the TVA traveled to Puerto Rico after many people were left without power following Hurricane Maria. The groups helped with power restoration for the Lopez family, whose son, Javier, depends on electricity for a life support system.

Jeff Phillips, an engineer with the TVA, says that power has now been mostly restored the island and that it is a beautiful area with several friendly people.
