DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Authorities have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery in Decatur.
Decatur Police say that Edward Elijah Brown was determined to be a primary suspect in the case during the investigation.
Members of the Etowah County Joint Special Operations Group (JSOG), the FBI, and the Decatur Police Department performed a search at a residence in Gadsden, where they located Brown.
Brown was then taken into custody.
Officers also found during the search that Brown was in possession of two pounds of synthetic marijuana and an AK-47 assault rifle. He and two other adults were transported to the JSOG headquarters.
Brown has been charged with trafficking in synthetic cannabinoids.
He is expected to be taken to the Morgan County Jail from the Etowah County Jail, where he will be charged with robbery in the first degree.
