Elderly woman struck by lightning in Owens Cross Roads

OWENS CROSS ROADS, AL (WAFF) - Officials with HEMSI say an elderly woman was struck by lightning in Owens Cross Roads on Thursday afternoon after severe thunderstorms came down across the Tennessee Valley.
The woman is in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.
Officials tell us it happened on Peninsula Circle.
