Crime Stoppers: Purses stolen from vehicle at Huntsville park

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - In this week's Crime Stoppers, Huntsville police are looking for the person who did a smash-and-grab while two people were getting some exercise.

It happened on May 26 at Ken Johnson Park on Mountain Gap Road. Police say the victim and a friend had placed their purses in the floorboard of her vehicle and went for a run. Upon their return, they noticed the door glass had been smashed and the purses were missing.

Shortly after, the suspect attempted to purchase various items and gift cards at a local Kroger.
