ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Volunteer coordinators for the Main Street Music Festival are in desperate need of your help.
Complications with the database system of past volunteers has left organizers with a major shortage of volunteers. They say this event wouldn't be possible without the help of their volunteers and they still need to fill one third of their list in a very short period of time.
Ben McGowan, a volunteer coordinator for the Main Street Music Festival, said they're running out of time.
"We're about a hundred volunteers short right now. And we're about 30 days out from our deadline. So, if you are interested in volunteering, please feel free to get in touch with us. There are three of us on our volunteer committee. It is very important. We try. This festival gives back to this community, through sponsorship and through your efforts as volunteers," said McGowan.
The Main Street Music Festival will be moved to the second weekend in August this year. That will be Aug. 10-11.
