Man accused of indecent exposure outside Decatur Walmart

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Decatur police have charged a man with indecent exposure.

According to police, the victim reported that on May 12, she was in the parking lot at Walmart on Spring Avenue when the suspect parked beside her and engaged in an unwanted conversation of an explicit nature. The victim also reported that the suspect engaged in a lewd act while he was speaking with her.

The victim reported that she walked away and immediately contacted the Decatur Police Department.

The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Christopher Shepard.

An arrest warrant was issued on May 24. he turned himself in on Tuesday.

Shepard was later released on bond.
