HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Many families across the Tennessee Valley rely on free school breakfast and lunches to help feed their kids throughout the school year. But, these same families often struggle during the summertime when school is not in session.

The Alabama Food Bank Association, in partnership with the Food Bank of North Alabama, is helping to make sure all kids have access to healthy meals every day this summer by sponsoring 40 summer meal sites for children across the North Alabama region.

These are places where anyone age 18 and under can go for food, fun, and friends!

The Huntsville City Schools are offering free breakfast and lunch every day from June 4th to July 20th. Summer lunch is also available at Searcy Homes weekdays from May 29th to August 3rd from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Many sites also offer fun activities in addition to meals. For example, Aldersgate UMC is offering Picnic in the Park and a Vacation Bible School program at Ken Johnson Park weekdays from June 4th to July 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
