HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Schools will let out for summer in a few weeks.

The summer food program ensures that every child who needs a meal does not go hungry.

The meals are available to children 18-years-old and under. Huntsville City Schools will serve the meals at several locations around the city.

During the summertime, the majority of schools are closed so the program is introduced to make sure that those young people do get a meal and they do get fed and they don't go hungry during the summer months.

Breakfast and lunch will be served at the schools. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
