Verdict reached in Huntsville 2016 manslaughter case

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A Madison County jury reached a verdict on Wednesday in the case of a man accused of shooting and killing a Huntsville teen outside a neighborhood grocery store.
The jury found Jonathan Scott guilty of manslaughter just before noon. He is being held without bond pending sentencing. His attorney has asked for bond in the meantime.

Scott is accused of shooting 16-year-old Mustafa Bearfield in June 2016 while firing a warning shot after the teen took items from inside Scott's delivery truck.
Bearfield was unarmed and died on the scene.
Scott was charged with manslaughter.
