(WAFF) - Bee Gee's Restaurant in Albertville is this week's lowest scoring low performer with a 78. The Marshall County Health Department reports the restaurant had a pest control problem. They reportedly had some hamburger held 25 degrees below the 135 degree temperature needed to keep food-borne bacteria from growing.
Cazadores Fresh Mexican Grill in gr ant scored an 80. The inspector reports shrimp was 15 degrees warmer than the 41 degree cold-holding requirement and that chicken was 11 degrees over the mandated maximum temperature.
Coldwater Mill Restaurant in Tuscumbia scored a 79. The Colbert County Health Department reports they were holding on to ribs that were past the expiration date and that cream cheese and cooked meats used for seasoning did not have expiration date marks.
Mandarin House Buffet and Grill in Owens Cross Roads scored an 83. The inspector reports raw shrimp was 33 degrees over temperature. Also, some hot food on the buffet line wasn't hot enough. Chicken on a stick was reportedly 21 degrees off, and egg rolls were off by seven degrees.
The Applebee's in Guntersville scored an 83. The inspector reports they were using fry baskets with loose wires.
Cheese was reportedly too warm by 26 degrees at the McDonald's on County Line Road in Madison, as they scored an 83. The inspector also reports they needed to clean the ice maker.
Shinsegae Oriental Restaurant in Huntsville barely made the low performers for the second straight time, scoring an 84 again. This time, the inspector says utensils at three-compartment sink were not being sanitized, and the third compartment in that sink had raw fish in it.
Singing River Bar and Grill in Sheffield scored an 84. The inspector reports shrimp, fish, steaks, chicken and beef in a cooler were three to nine degrees over the required temperature.
The Fiesta Mexicana in Tuscumbia is off of the low performers list after scoring a 93, 16 points better than their previous inspection.
Fuji Japanese Cuisine in Huntsville is also off the low performers list, scoring a 94 this time, 14 points higher than last time.
The Starbucks on the University of North Alabama campus in Florence scored a perfect 100.
This week's other Kitchen Cops high performers is the Grumpy's mobile food unit in Boaz , scoring a 99.
