HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A 48 news update now on the FBI Hazardous Devices School's expansion project on Redstone Arsenal. The school is in the process of being able to certify more bomb technicians.

WAFF spoke to the school's director , Jeff Warren, who told us, to be able to do bring in more people, the project will include duplicating the deployment building, where the bomb trucks are kept for training.

They'll add another building for more personnel, along with more equipment. Then, six more training villages, where real life training scenarios can take place.

"This is the first time that the school has been expanded and added to since the completion here in 2004 of the current campus. The threats are ever evolving so HDS has to evolve as well," said Warren.

Warren went on to say, as they look to the future, they are bringing in more jobs to the Tennessee Valley. At this point, a set number for jobs is not known.
