A local mother and daughter duo have teamed up for a new children's book with a great message.

"It really comes down to positively encouraging your friends and family."

That's the message co-author Danielle Hart says she hopes people will take away from reading Kylie Meets Cooley.

Hart says, "In this day and age I just think it's super important that people appreciate and value who they are for themselves."

It's a bedtime story that 9 year old Kylie Laine says she wanted to share with others.

Kylie says she was over hearing stories about princesses and started expressing a new one with her mother that was more meaningful.

Caring and kind, "Cooley the Cow" helps Kylie in her journey throughout the book as she makes new friends and faces new challenges.

But the message goes beyond the pages of the book. Over the next two years, $1.00 from each book sale will go to the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund with the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

Hart says they've had several family members and friends who are breast cancer survivors and aiding in awareness and diagnostic technology directly impacts many families in our community.

Danielle and Kylie would like to invite everyone out to their book signing on October 22 at the Books A Million on North Parkway in Huntsville.

Hart says there will be fun for the whole family, including a reading of the book and activities to enjoy. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
