FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - The suspect accused of killing a man in Florence in 2013 appeared in court on Friday.

Justin Antonio Butler, 24, pleaded not guilty to capital murder in his arraignment. The charge stems from the death of Eric Watkins.

Butler was extradited from South Carolina where he was in custody for another murder. He was sentenced to 55 years in South Carolina for that conviction.
