HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - It takes a lot of patience and skill to build one of these models, and 12-year-old Jarvis is totally obsessed with his work.

With intricate detail, he attaches every piece while explaining the process as he goes along.

"I use to like how they look when you spend all that time building them. Last year for Christmas I got a Lego kit where I build the Lego kit thing. It was like a boat and a tow truck," he said.

This sixth grader also likes to play video games as most kids his age do.

But he enjoys physical activities like football. When he is not playing the game, he likes watching it on television.

And it is no surprise, Jarvis is a bit of a mathematician.

"Say you have an answer, and you will know how to multiply and add divide," he explained. "And if you don't know the answer you can ask the teacher and they will tell you. And you might be able to get it then."
Jarvis is extremely close to his mom. He has two older sisters, but he thinks having a Big Brother would give him someone to hang out with, and more importantly a male role model he can look up to.

"We can do fun stuff. Instead of going somewhere where there are video games, we can go to the park. We can go to the movies or we can do something with the other kids," said Jarvis.
