1 transported to hospital after crash on Shields Road

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The driver of a SUV was taken to the hospital after hitting a barrier.
The accident happened on Shields Road around 2 p.m.
According to police, only one person was inside of the vehicle. There is no word yet on the extent of their injuries.
Police are still investigating how the crash happened.
