4 teens arrested in armed Jackson Co. home invasion

PISGAH, AL (WAFF) - Four Scottsboro teens are facing charges after a home invasion and robbery Wednesday morning in Pisgah.

Police say they arrested 18-year-old Hector Guevara, 17-year-old Dylan McQueen, 16-year-old Jallen Hammonds and 16-year-old Tyson Woods.

They each face numerous felonies including burglary, kidnapping, robbery, theft, menacing, and possession of burglary tools.

Neighbor Bill Darwin said he heard a woman's calls for help and when he saw her taped hands he knew something bad had happened.

The robbery happened around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday at a home off of Wann Circle.

Sheriff Chuck Phillips said they had a deputy there just minutes after the incident.

Phillips said four people went to the home and some of them entered with a weapon.

Darwin said the woman told 911 they had taped her hands and put her in a bedroom.

Phillips said the suspects made off with several weapons from the home but were apprehended in a traffic stop in Scottsboro. He said you don't see this type of crime often in rural Jackson County.

Darwin said it was very concerning.

"It kinda scared me," said Darwin. "It's real quiet here.  Nothing ever happens here so it was kinda shocking."

The woman was not seriously injured.

All four suspects are currently in the county jail. At this time, bond has not been set.
