MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Residents who use the services of the Department of Human Resources in Marshall County will soon find it a much more convenient experience.
The Department of Human Resources broke ground Monday on their new nearly five million dollar building.
The building will be approximately 35,000 square feet and two stories high.
It will allow DHR to consolidate their services which are currently in two buildings several miles away.
"Services for children, families and adults will be on the second floor and the financial units for food assistance, child support, family assistance and jobs will be on the bottom floor," said Marshall County DHR Director Marcia Parker.
Construction is expected to take a year to complete.
