HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Police are still conducting a murder investigation after a shooting at a residence in the 3800 block of Pinedale Drive.

The Madison County coroner identified the victim as 25-year-old Kendall Westbrook. Police said when they arrived Friday they found Westbrook dead at the scene with a gunshot wound. Police also said another man and a woman were shot in the crossfire, but were transported to Huntsville Hospital. There is no word on their injuries at this time.

"I heard about seven or eight gunshots," said neighbor Christopher Wynne.

As police continue to conduct a murder investigation, several neighbors said they are praying for peace.

"You don't know how it feels until it's actually in your neighborhood," Wynne said. "It just needs to be more patrol through here and more units. Just make themselves present."

A heavy police presence was at the scene during the investigation and officials said they do not have anyone in custody at this time and are not releasing any further information.

"I hate that for the family. It's just tragic. It's just tragic," said Wynne.
