ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Boaz man reported missing has been found dead and two people are in custody in Etowah County.

Wesley Adam Clifton, 23, was last seen June 7 and family members reported him missing on Saturday, June 11.

Now, 25-year-old Kenneth Tyler Parker of Boaz and 20-year-old Amber Nicole McCoy of Albertville are charged with his murder and are in the Etowah County jail.

There are two people in custody but officials on Thursday said more people could be facing charges.

Parker was arrested at his home Wednesday on Black Bottom Road while McCoy was arrested at Marshall Medical Center South.

Sheriff's officials said they received a tip about the location of Clifton's body which was found in a shallow grave just down the road from Parker's home.

The tip also revealed the location of Clifton's red Honda Accord which was found in a wooded area just off Cove Springs Road near the intersection with Little Cove Road.

Meanwhile, investigators were back at the home as they continued to search for evidence which would lead to a motive for the crime.

"There is evidence that's being collected inside the home. There's evidence that's been collected where the body was found. There will be evidence collected from inside the vehicle as well," said Etowah County Sheriff's Department Public Relations Officer Natalie Barton. "Only time will tell as the investigation is ongoing as to the exact details of exactly where the crime was committed."

Both suspects remain jailed on a $250,000 cash bond.

The mother of Amber Nicole McCoy also issued this statement:

Amber has always had a big heart when it comes to animals, friends, and family. Her sisters have always admired her. She has been through a lot for a 20-year-old from abuse, her boyfriend dying suddenly. Her dad was never around in her life. Somehow she always had strength, that made her push forward. She will always do what's right no matter what. I pray for all the families involved. It is a horrific death. I pray peace over the family of
Wesley.
