HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A man in a mask, armed with a gun, walked into the MetroPCS off University Drive right when the store opened at 9:30 Thursday morning.

The suspect immediately struggled with the employee and stole money from the shop.

A woman walked in right as the suspect was slipping out.

"Overwhelmed, really. It's an everyday thing anymore," said Shannon Echols.

The owner is frustrated this happened at all.

"We just want to resume our life normal and have a business and put back into the community and society. Things like this happen and it discourages us from doing business. But hopefully we can put him behind bars and resume our life like normal," said Abdel Majeed Abunaameh, district manager of MetroPCS stores in Huntsville.

The employee is at the hospital right now for treatment.

Police are still looking for the suspect.

The district manager of the store said the store is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who comes forward with information on this armed robbery that leads to an arrest.
