CULLMAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Investigators with the Cullman County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for having obscene pictures of children on his laptop Wednesday.

An investigation on Paul Sandlin Jr., 60 of Breman, began after the sheriff's office was alerted he may have photos of children on his computer.

Investigators went to Sandlin's home and found several obscene photos of children on the computer.

"Our children are our most precious gift from God and I am glad this predator is behind bars where he belongs," said Sheriff Matt Gentry. "I would also like to commend the investigators and all those involved in this case for working nonstop to bring justice for the victims in this case."

Sandlin was charged with possession of obscene material of someone less than 17-years-old.

He is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center on no bond.

Cullman County Sheriff's Office worked with the Department of Human Resources and the Marshall County Sheriff's office during the investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing and other charges may be pending.
