HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Fulin's Asian Cuisine in Decatur is a back-to-back Kitchen Cops Low Performer.They scored an 82 last time, then earned an 80 for their re-inspection. Part of the reason the restaurant is a repeat offender is a repeat offense.
Just like their previous inspection, the inspector reports witnessing a worker touching ready-to-eat food with their bare hands, a potential cross-contamination combination. Fulin's lost points because sushi was reportedly eight degrees above the temperature needed to prevent bacteria.
The inspector also reports finding food without expiration dates. In Boaz, Western Sizzlin scored an 81. According to the inspector, 10 cold food items on the buffet, including steak and chicken, were seven to 17 degrees above the required degree temperature.
Western Sizzlin also lost points because of some hot food on the buffet wasn't hot enough. Rosie's Mexican Cantina in Florence jumps off the Kitchen Cops Performers List by getting a 90 for their re-inspection. They scored an 82 last time.
Also in Florence, Sweet Basil Cafe scored an 82 last time and also earned their way off of the low performers list by scoring a 90 this time. The Fincher's Franks mobile food unit in Huntsville is the only one of this week's Kitchen Cops High Performers that scored a perfect 100.
O Taste & See BBQ's food truck scored a 99. Nick's Ristorante in Huntsville, Huntsville Country Club Grille, Piper & Leaf Artisan Tea Co. in Huntsville, Oasis Deli & Tropical Snow in Leighton, Stell's Sports Grille in Muscle Shoals, and the Hartselle Aquatic Facility concession stand each scored a 98.
