DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - A woman is behind bars after allegedly stealing a debit card.
Decatur police say on April 5, they received a report of a stolen debit card.
During the course of the investigation, Cristin Danielle Butler, was developed as the primary suspect and on April 19 a warrant for theft of property was obtained for Butler's arrest.
On May 4 at 7 p.m., Decatur Police received a call from the Target located on Point Mallard Parkway that a female shoplifter was attempting to exit the store.
When officers arrived on scene, they identified Butler as the suspect and she was taken into custody.
Butler was charged with theft of property in the 3rd degree and theft of property in the 4th degree.
Butler was booked into the Decatur City Jail on both charges and transferred to the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
