ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An Albertville special education teacher is in hot water after assaulting her ex-husband at a Boaz ballpark.

Brandy Taylor is now out on bond after being charged Thursday evening with domestic violence.

Boaz police said they responded to a harassment complaint at Paradise Park.  When they arrived they found she sprayed pepper spray in the man's face in a dispute over their child.

Taylor was released from the Boaz City Jail Friday morning.

School officials say she was at school Friday morning but not that afternoon and are investigating.

On Friday, James Dan Sims filed for an order of protection against Taylor.

In the petition Sims said, "I fear with her instability and with her escalating her threats that next time she will use a gun and kill me."

Friday her attorney Tom Woodall responded, "Mrs. Taylor looks forward to her day in court to confront these unproven allegations Ms. Taylor is innocent and looks forward to clearing her good name."
