DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - A man is facing multiple charges after Decatur police responded to a robbery at Friendly's Convenience Store on Wednesday night.

While Anthony Davis was pumping gas he was attacked by a man later identified as Tobias Mitchell.

When Davis fought back, Mitchell requested assistance from another man who was riding in his maroon Infinity G35.

The other man then assisted Mitchell in the attack, and one of the men took Davis' wallet from his pants before fleeing the scene.

A little while later, multiple units spotted the vehicle on Gordon Drive and performed a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 31 north of the river bridge.

During the stop, police noticed Mitchell eating a "green leafy substance" later identified as marijuana.

Mitchell was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, and robbery.

He was already out on bond for second-degree robbery charges. His bond will be set on March 11.

Decatur police are still looking for the other suspect.
