DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - A Huntsville woman was arrested in Decatur on Wednesday for outstanding drug warrants.
Officers with the Decatur Police Department's Special Operations Division initiated a traffic stop on a white Honda Accord near the intersection of Highway 20 and Bibb Garrett Road.
During the stop, officers identified the driver as Katie Marie Byrum.
Officers found a quantity of marijuana inside the vehicle.
Byrum was arrested for possession of marijuana. She also had felony warrants in Huntsville for trafficking in opium and possession of synthetic narcotics.
She was booked into the Decatur City Jail and was later transferred to the Limestone County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
Byrum will be transferred to the Madison County Metro Jail after her release from the Limestone County Jail.
