Montgomery Co. man indicted for deputy-involved shooting in TN

TENNESSEE (WAFF) - An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in one Montgomery County man facing multiple charges in connection with a shooting that involved Humphreys County deputies.
On November 2015, TBI Special Agents began investigating the shooting that happened off of Highway 13 in Waverly.
Deputies with the Humphreys County Sheriff's Office were sent to a motorist assist call. When they arrive they encountered Brian Michael Bric, 37, who was fleeing from the scene into the woods.
The investigation revealed that while in the woods, Bric pointed a weapon at the deputies. The deputies then fired shots at Bric.
Bric was struck several times and was hospitalized for his injuries. No deputies were injured.
Monday, the Humphreys Grand Jury returned indictments charging Bric with four counts of aggravated assault, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, and one count of evading arrest.
On Friday, Bric was transported from Montgomery County, where he was being held on unrelated charges. He was booked into the Humphreys County Jail where he is being held on $100,000 bond.
