Laptops lifted from Scottsboro Walmart, suspect arrested

SCOTTSBORO, AL (WAFF) - Scottsboro police have arrested a person who they say stole two laptop computers, valued at over $1000, from a Walmart store.
The theft took place on Jan. 25.
Police said the suspect left in a dark colored, 4-door car, possibly a 1997-2005 Chevrolet Malibu or Chevrolet Classic.
Police arrested 33-year-old Dustin Payne of Huntsville in connection with the case. He has been charged with second-degree theft and was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
No bond has been set at this time.
